The Sanders Team
Sanders Fodder was established by the Sanders family in 1979.
46 years later, the business was sold by Matthew and Jane Sanders to AIRR (Australian Independent Rural Retailers) and continues with local and long term team members to provide a reliable source of product, service and advice for all animal needs.
The business has evolved with the times to include safer handling practices and innovations in technology and processes to build an ‘old fashioned’ business model into a vibrant and productive business which services the needs of the Mid- North, Riverland, and Northern Adelaide metropolitan areas of South Australia. We have the advantage of spacious, easily accessible parking away from the main road and busy shopping precinct.
Having been associated with the AIRR since 2009, this move gave the store more buying power and access to better products in range and quality. This proves to be an important asset when vying for market share increasingly taken by department store and large chain outlets. Hence our ‘Tuckers Pet & Produce’ branding and quarterly catalogues.
Our team are locals and involved in the local community through involvement with clubs and volunteer organisations. We also support many local animal groups and shows through sponsorship each year.
The stone building in which Sanders Fodder is located, was built in the 1870’s with quite an interesting history. Read More about our History
